In a place you would hardly expect, just one hour north of New York City, lies the site of one of the most widely observed and yet most unexplainable set of UFO sightings ever seen. The place is the Hudson Valley, and the story of its strange UFO started on New Years Eve, 1982.
A few minutes before midnight, a retired police officer was out in his backyard in Kent, New York when he observed a group of strange lights off to the south. They were colored red, green and white. At first the former officer thought they belonged to a jet aircraft in trouble, but as the object passed over his house at a height he estimated to be about 500 feet, he realized it was moving much too slowly for a jet and made too little noise. Just a distant humming sound. As he watched, he decided the the lights, which appeared as a “V” shape, were connected by a dark, triangular fuselage.
What the former officer had seen would be observed many times in the Hudson Valley area over the next few years by hundreds of different witnesses: A “V” shaped set of multicolored lights moving slowly and silently across the sky. On March 26th, 1983, a front-page story in the Westchester-Rockland Daily Item proclaimed:
The Hudson Valley UFO account is composed of not one, but many sightings, all similar, and all pointing to one conclusion. There was something “unexplained” going on in this place only an hour’s drive north of New York City. The Hudson Valley UFO saga began at almost the beginning of a new year, 1982. Just a short time before midnight, December 31, 1981, a retired policeman was sitting in his backyard in Kent, N. Y. He saw a group of strange lights to the south.
The lights were a brilliant red, green, and white, and at first, he thought they could be coming from an airplane in trouble. It was common for him to sit and watch the big jets fly over at night. As the lights became closer, his opinion quickly changed. The lights were moving too slowly to be a plane, and now… they were too low, and there was no noise from an engine. What was the strange craft he was seeing?
As the lights came closer, he could hear a humming sound, and now he could see that the lights were arranged in a triangular shape, and there was a solid object of some kind connecting the lights. No, this was no aircraft he had ever seen before! The solid part looked like…a fuselage. That’s what it was…a fuselage. He was looking at a UFO.
This type of report would be repeated many times in the Hudson Valley over the next few years. All of them were similar, a V-shaped row of lights connected by a solid object of some type. Literally hundreds of witnesses would see this same sight. There was definitely something unusual going on in the skies over the Hudson Valley. Something that moved ever so slowly, so silently.
On March 26, 1983, an article about the sightings appeared on the front page of the Westchester-Rockland Daily Item. The article recounted the many reports of the strange phenomena. The cat was out of the bag. The press coverage drew the attention of a group of UFO investigators who were associated with Dr. J. Allen Hynek, acclaimed scientist and UFO investigator. A thorough investigation followed, and ultimately a book, “Night Siege: The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings.”
The group began their inquiries by setting up a phone hotline. They received over 300 calls from individuals who had seen the strange V-shaped lights on the night of March 24, 1983 alone. Descriptions were very similar, if not identical. The object always moved slowly, and almost silently. It always had many lights, and they were always in a V-configuration. Some of the witnesses got a close enough look to say that the craft was large enough to be a “flying city.”
On the same night, the city of Yorktown also came alive with reports of this giant flying craft. The police switchboard was jammed with so many calls about the UFO that they feared not being able to respond to “real emergencies.” Drivers pulled over on the Taconic parkway to watch the large object slowly make it’s way across the skies. All in all, about 5,000 reports were made during a period of five years, from 1982 through 1986.
Hudosn valley UFO Sighting
The object was seen by multiple witnesses at night, never daylight. The sightings ranged as far east as New Haven, Connecticut, and as far north as Brookfield, Connecticut. Several theories were put forth about whether there was only one object, or many. Some additional accounts would come forward stating that the object, though moving slowly, would at times make a rapid, fast maneuver from one location to another. Also the lights of the craft could change colors in an instant.
A report made from guards at the Indian Point Nuclear Plant would be one of the most dramatic. The gigantic UFO was seen hovering over the plant for periods of time, and moved as close as 30 feet from the reactor. Security supervisors even once considered ordering in planes to have it shot down. The object over Indian Point was described by some of the guards as 1,000 ft. long.
Another witness described the object hovering over the Croton Falls Reservoir, using a red beam as it seemed to scan the surface of the water.
Reasonable explanations for the sightings were offered. Skeptics suggested that planes, balloons, satellites, and even the planet Venus could explain away the accounts.
Considering all of the information available, researchers could find only one object that could mimic the movements of the UFO, a blimp. All blimp manufacturers and pilots were contacted, and not one case of a blimp over the area on the nights of the sightings could be found. The Hudson Valley sightings are still a mystery today.
The UFO researchers estimated that over 5,000 people had seen the object over a period of five years from 1982 through 1986. Often the UFO seemed to glide over large areas causing dozens of sightings in one night. It was never spotted during the day.
Most reports came from people who seemed to be reliable witnesses. As the authors put it “ordinary people who have seen something extraordinary.” The UFO was seen not just over the Hudson Valley, but as far east as New Haven, Connecticut and as far north as Brookfield, Connecticut.
While most reports described the UFO moving at a very slow speed, hovering, or turning slowly like a wheel, a few reports described the object as suddenly zooming away at fantastic speeds, or just disappearing. In some accounts the shape varied so that the lights appeared as more of a circle than a “V”. Often the color and arrangement of the lights changed as the viewers watched. In a few cases reports arrived that put the object at two distant locations at the same time suggesting there might be more than one of them.
One of the most striking reports that the group gathered was from guards at the Indian Point Nuclear Plant. The UFO apparently hovered over an active nuclear reactor for some minutes coming as close to the reactor dome as thirty feet. The security supervisor even considered ordering guards to shoot it down. One guard described it as being the length of three football fields.
The object also seemed to be interested in bodies of water. One observer watched the UFO over Croton Falls Reservoir where it seemed to use a red beam to probe the surface.
The researchers knew that when investigated most UFO reports turn into reports of IFOs: Identified Flying Objects. Often they turn out to be planes, balloons, satellites, or even the planet Venus. They did find evidence that some of the reports of the “V” shape may have been a group of small planes flying out of the Stormville Airport. The pilots seemed to have been flying their planes in a formation in a deliberate attempt at a UFO hoax.
The plane hoax only cleared up a small number of reports, however. Most observers reported that the lights moved together as a solid object. Others could see the body of the UFO between the lights. None of the observers who had seen both the planes and the object thought they were the same phenomenon.
There’s been a lot of speculation about Japans tragedy and a possible UFO connection. But could this be a reality, or is this turning into a paranoia episode?

This seismic event is a tragedy of epic proportions and it is not yet over, with thousands of people now made homeless and emergency services stretched beyond the limit.
Japan’s Prime Minister Naoto Kan advised that radiation levels are ‘significantly’ higher around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, while the Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano recommended that people near the site should stay inside their homes.
An increasing amount of pandemonium appears to be mounting as the Prime Minister, stampeded into an important executive meeting of Tokyo Electric Power Co and demanded to know, “What the hell is going on?”

Watch carefully and be the judge…a clever fake or are we a tourist destination for aliens? Personally, I am having a hard time believing this to be a real UFO at all.
MUFON CMS – Malaysia – 3/4/2011 – unedited: It all happened when we were arriving home around 9.30pm and my youngest son, Manuel was crying. So his daddy, Nolan diverted his attention to colourful lights in the sky, asking him to look at the aeroplane. When he stared longer he said it the lights do not look like aeroplane. As we watched, the object has flickering lights with blue, green, white, red and the object was seen hovering. At first we thought that it was a helicopter. Then we took out our binoculars and digital camera. Viewing with the binoculars, the lights were colourful, blue, red, green and white and the object was hovering. Nolan says it changes shape when he viewed through the binoculars. Then I took a few pictures with my digital camera. As I did not have my tripod and it was dark and my zoom lens was only 80-200mm, the image was not sharp. I wanted to take some video shots but was not in time as the object started to drift further and suddenly it disappeared. The incident of the object hovering with fantastic colourful lights happened for around 20 mins.
MUFON CMS – Georgia – 3/3/2011 – unedited: As I’ve done for thousands of times, I was sitting in my reclining chair on my patio looking upward at the sky admiring the stars while waiting for my dog to finish her business. It was about 8:45PM on 3/3/2011 with a few clouds floating in the night sky. Suddenly, I noticed the strangest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. A boomerang shaped craft was literally streaking from North to South across the sky directly over my head. It seemed to be flying about the same height as a commercial airliner would fly, but was moving many, many times faster. It transited my field of view about ten times more quickly than the commercial jets that I watch fly by everyday at this location. It was obviously flying at many times the speed of sound, but there was no sonic boom at all.
The thing that made me really notice it was that it was semi-transparent with a green and red iridescent glow quality to the entire craft, and the incredible velocity it displayed. This glow illuminated and outlined the entire craft. There were no lights on the craft only the iridescent glow. Each wing of the boomerang had two rows of very thin darker colored slits. There were three slits in each row. The shock I felt was akin to the feeling one gets when one is about to get into an accident. It took about a half-second for my brain to realize that I was witnessing a UFO.
I immediately jumped from my chair so I could visually follow the craft as it rapidly made its way across my field of view. The craft was streaking directly over my head at a high altitude. It was also much larger than any commercial aircraft I’ve ever seen flying at altitude. There also seemed to be a “fuzzyish” quality to the outline of its form. In the end, it was obscured by some clouds that were due South of me and disappeared from my sight. The entire event lasted about 3 seconds.
As it appeared to me, the size of the craft from wing tip to wing tip was akin to the width of my thumb held out at arms length. The width of the boomerang wings was about one eight the wingspan. The craft did not leave vapor trails and was dead silent.
The next day using some pine trees as reference points, the cloud height data from the prior night, and some basic trigonometry I calculated a minimum possible speed of 2000 MPH. I was super conservative with my assumptions on the numbers and believe that the craft was actually flying in excess of 5000 MPH.
The experience left me feeling shaken. The entire event happened so quickly and was over so quickly it was kind of like having a bucket of ice water dumped over one’s self. I do not believe that this craft originated from this planet.
xinhuanet – Unidentified Flying Objects have been causing a stir in Indonesia. Crop circles previously unknown in the region have recently started to appear reviving theories about their mysterious extra terrestrial origins.
This geometric design of interlocking circles recently appeared in a rice field near the village of Sleman in Central Java.
It is Indonesia’s first crop circle.
The appearance of the circle thrust the work of Indonesia’s UFO hunters into the national spotlight.
BETA-UFO Indonesia was established in 1997 by a community of like-minded people fascinated by Unidentified Flying Objects .
Despite official denials UFO hunters like Andyono Muharso remain convinced that only alien creatures could have been responsible for the crop circles.
Andyono Muharso, UFO Researcher, siad, “Our conclusion at this time is that it is impossible for a person to make this. If it were made by a person with a very advanced technology, it might have been possible. We don’t know for sure. But it is impossible that it was made by a person with a wood and rope.”
Adiguno is a television cameraman in the capital Jakarta for over 10 years.
During one cloudy day last year, Adiguno accidentally documented something weird in the city skyline when taking photos with the camera of his cell phone.
Adiguno, UFO Eyewitness, said, “That day Jakarta was very cloudy and the sky was dark. I wanted to take a picture of it because a sky like that was quite rare to see. I took the picture using my cell phone and I only realized what I had shot when I viewed it on my computer.”
UFO enthusiasts BETA-UFO believe that Adiguno is not alone.
They meet regularly to discuss UFO claims and plan field trips.
BETA-UFO sent its team to the site to gather physical evidence, take photos and talk with the locals.
Not man made is their conclusion. “Not so” is the verdict of the Indonesian National Institute of Aeronautics and Space.
Sri Kaloka Prabotosari, Indonesian Aeronautics Scholar, said, “We think that the claims made by some people that crop circles in Sleman and Bantul were footprints of UFO are wrong. When we visited the area we found things indicating that they were man made. ”
Undeterred, the UFO hunters of BETA-UFO continue to sift through the evidence, determined to recruit more of the faithful to the constantly curious pursuit of finding ET.
Sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects were frequently reported by residents of the Keystone State during 2010. Among the other odd events reported were encounters with strange creatures such as Bigfoot and giant birds, unexplained sounds, strange sky flashes and anomalous photographs. Reports of such mysterious events which crossed my desk during 2010, originated from 49 counties in Pennsylvania. In 1969 I established a hotline for the public to report UFO sightings. Today I still receive current reports concerning UFO sightings, Bigfoot, and any type of strange incidents from across Pennsylvania at 724-838-7768, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The information on cases which I receive are either reported to me directly, or originate from other sources, including various local and national researchers, many of which I have contact with. Also some reports are received from various local or national organizations. For example, The National UFO Reporting Center, http://www.nuforc.org and the Pennsylvania chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, http://www.mufonpa.com also receive UFO reports from this state. The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, (PBS) http://www.pabigfootsociety.com conducts field studies searching for evidence of Bigfoot in the state.
It is now approaching 52 years that I have been investigating and collecting information on these ongoing yearly strange accounts that originate from Pennsylvania. During that time period, I was involved with the investigations of thousands of very strange events. During the many on scene investigations that I was involved with, there were some cases where some interesting physical evidence was observed at the scene. I personally, however, have never had a UFO sighting or had an encounter with Bigfoot.
I began my field investigations after the Kecksburg UFO incident in 1965. Since that time it has become clear that many UFO sightings, creature encounters, and various paranormal events when properly investigated are determined to originate from a natural or man-made source. There are some incidents of this nature that occur year after year, however, that are not easily explained away. Some of the UFO observations reported during 2010 could be explained as bright planets and stars, meteors, conventional aircraft, and Chinese lanterns or similar home made hot air balloons.
Reported UFO sightings from across Pennsylvania started in January and continued throughout the 2010 year. Some of the UFO reports which came to my attention, can be found at: http://www.stangordon.info/sightings.htm.
A number of UFO sightings were reported from various statewide locations on May 26, 2010. I interviewed a woman, who along with her passenger was traveling on a busy roadway in the metro Pittsburgh area. On that morning, they observed a bright silver metallic disc shaped object rotating in circles as it moved steadily across the sky. An attempt to take a picture of it was unsuccessful.
On July 5th close to Jeannette in Westmoreland County, two people watched a bright yellow-orange light move across the sky that seemed to be pulsating or rotating. The object passed overhead, and 3 white lights positioned in a triangular pattern were attached to the underside of a darker silent object which moved towards the east. On July 17th, also near Jeannette, another witness reported a bright star-like object high in the sky that began to pulsate and grew larger in size. It pulsated 2-3 times, then the object became dim, and soon just vanished.
On the evening of July 18th, in Hempfield Township outside of Greensburg, several independent observers that I interviewed observed a bright orange-yellow glowing object moving slowly across the sky. One of the observers took several color photographs before the object seemed to accelerate as it moved off in the distance sky. One picture clearly shows three white lights in a triangular pattern. (Note: For several months there were numerous reports of luminous glowing objects being reported. It is quite likely that some of these reports can be attributed to someone launching Chinese lanterns or other similar home made hot air balloon devices.)
There were a number of reports of close range observations of small sized UFOs. Over the years I have received a number of similar types of reports.
Near Derry in July, a man who was taking a walk observed a pale white solid sphere that appeared to be about 2 inches in diameter. The slow moving object was observed about 15 feet above the ground, and approached the witness to a distance of about 15 feet. The witness watched as the object moved around some trees, then continued on in the distance. In August, near Norvelt, a witness reported observing a rectangular object about 8-9 feet long, rounded in the front, with a soft white glow to it. The object was observed as it moved about 3 feet above the ground, and was about 15 feet from the observer.
On November 24th, on the Youngstown side of the Chestnut Ridge, two witnesses observed a red spherical object about 60 yards away in a wooded area. One of the observers moved closer to the object to try to figure out what it was. The object, which was about 3-4 feet off the ground, was of an unusual configuration. The observer who approached to about 70 feet from the object said that it looked somewhat like, “a ball with the top quarter cut off.”
The man explained that the top quarter was the “orb,” which was flat on the bottom section. The entire object was estimated to be about 60-72 inches long, and about 30-36 inches high. The silent object was a solid red color, but non-glowing with a colored edge, and a bottom. While the object remained motionless, some sort of white spark was observed emitting from the bottom section. The object slowly moved off, made some direction changes, then with great speed moved over a hill and was lost from sight.
Strange Creatures: Bigfoot and Thunderbirds
Bigfoot sightings continue to be reported yearly from various locations across Pennsylvania. Westmoreland and Fayette Counties continue to be active areas where such reports have historically originated from. In June, two people say that they saw a 7-8 feet tall man-like creature covered with tan-brown hair at dusk in Derry Township. I also interviewed a fellow who had been a hunter for many years, but it wasn’t until one early morning in July that he saw something he could not explain. The event occurred in Allegheny County, near a tree line. The witness observed a man-like creature covered with reddish-brown hair, that stood at least 7 ½ feet tall from a distance of about 50-60 feet. The creature was very broad shouldered, and had very long arms. The creature was observed for about 40 seconds.
The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society (PBS) also received a number of reports of possible Bigfoot sightings from Fayette, Westmoreland and Cambria counties. One case they investigated occurred in April near Scottdale. A man was awakened by his dogs barking at something outside. He investigates and hears sounds like a woman screaming. He looks outside to see a large creature on all fours walking around the yard. The creature than stands up on two legs. It is described as about six feet tall, very thin, and covered with dark hair. The creature with arms swinging, walks off into the woods near the house. The PBS investigates and finds one possible track that measured 16 inches long.
There continues to be observations of giant birds with oversized wingspans reported from areas of Pennsylvania. There has been a long history of such observations from the Keystone State, as well as other parts of the United States. Many accounts refer to such observations as “Thunderbird sightings.” Some of these sightings are likely misidentifications of known bird species observed from various distances and under various lighting conditions. Some reports however include close range observations with detailed accounts.
One such incident occurred on August 26th in South Greensburg in Westmoreland County. It was just getting dark when four people at a cookout heard a “swoosh” sound causing them to look to the sky. A tremendous bird was flying over a tree in the yard about 30-40 feet overhead. It was estimated that if the bird was on the ground, it would stand between 4 ½ and 5 feet tall. The entire body was either darkish brown or black in color. The body width was about 25-30 inches wide.
It was the size of the wingspan which was estimated to be 10 feet or more that impressed the observers. The observers watched as the huge bird flapped its wings as it moved down the road, taking about 20 seconds to go a distance of about ¼ mile as it moved off over some trees. It was just a short distance from this location where in September of 2001, another witness saw a huge dark bird with a massive wingspan flying over the traffic on Route 119.
We all know that NASA has been well aware for years about UFO activity taking place around the world. This video is a little dated, but pretty interesting anyways!
Whether you see this all as some vast conspiracy or not, our past astronauts have gone on record to say that while the major orbiting and moon missions took place, the astronauts had witnessed UFO activity. I for one will take the word of a U.S. astronaut/hero any day, and will well believe that what was seen was fact!
A mysterious shiny object floating high over Manhattan‘s West Side set off a flurry of reports and wild speculation Wednesday that a UFO was flying over the city.
Police and the FAA said they began getting flooded with calls starting at 1:30 p.m. from people reporting a silvery object hovering high over Chelsea.
Law enforcement sources said they believed the object was likely some sort of balloon, but as of late Wednesday they had not confirmed exactly what it is.
A Daily News reporter could see a tiny, silver dot floating approximately 5,000 feet above 23th St. and Eighth Ave., where dozens of people gathered late in the afternoon to catch a glimpse.
“It’s been hovering there for a while. I’m just kind of baffled,” said Joseph Torres, 49, of Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, who spotted the object after leaving a movie. “How can it be ordinary? There is something going on.”
Despite clear skies, it was not easy to make out the tiny object shimmering overhead.
“You really have to look up to see it,” said one witness, who gave only his first name, Rico. “It’s a little crazy. I guess that’s why they call it an unidentified flying object because they don’t know what it is.”
Not long after the first sightings, messages began appearing on Twitter linking to a month-old press release announcing the publication of a book by a retired NORAD officer predicting that UFOs would buzz the earth’s major cities on Oct. 13.
The Federal Aviation Administration said it received several calls to its operations center but after reviewing radar data, the agency could not find anything out of the ordinary.
“We re-ran radar to see if there was anything there that we can’t account for but there is nothing in the area,” said spokesman Jim Peters. “There was some helicopter traffic over the river at that time and we checked with LaGuardia Tower. And they said they had nothing going low at that time.”
“Nothing that we can account for would prompt this kind of response,” he said.
Peters said if it was a weather balloon or any kind of organized balloon release, authorities should have been notified in advance. Police officials said they had received no notification.
A Texas witness in Port Aransas reports having his fourth UFO encounter in two months after spotting a “super ship” moving between clouds at 2:30 a.m. on October 5, then watching what appeared to be a white-blue “probe” with a red blinking light, and finally an object that moved up out of the ocean, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness drove from San Antonio to Port Aransas with his brother on the evening of October 4 in an SUV and arrived at Nueces Country Park for the night. The witness woke up at 2:30 a.m. and stepped out of the vehicle for a smoke.
“At an angle up from the horizon about 60 degrees facing northeast, I see what looked like a fast (grey in color) shadow move just above the clouds over my left shoulders into another cloud,” the witness stated. “Thinking this was either a large bird or my tired eyes playing tricks, I ignore it.”
But at 2:45 a.m., he looked again and saw a giant craft moving between cloud coverage he described as a “super ship.”
“I quickly raise my right hand and simulate the shape, color, direction, size, speed and duration of the UFO event. Using my outreach right hand (about 6 inch long at 20 inches away from my eyes) and estimating the lower end of moving clouds to be 20,000 to 25,000, I measure this Super-ship to be 7,500 feet long, 3,750 feet wide, and 1,250 in height.
“The overall shape (note, it move so fast I did not see the front very well) resembles a between an Archery 3 blade Broad Head Arrow Tip crossed with a Star War’s Imperial Battleship (see fig 2). At the very back of the ship looked like two very large dome (think tops of football field like the Metro Dome in Minneapolis).
“This machine looked extremely old. Along the sides of the ship were two rolls of blocks that resemble the tops of old castle walls. Absolutely an unpractical design for aerodynamics and it was the dullest concrete grey in color. In fact, it looked like it was made of concrete with no smooth surface, no windows, and absolutely no sound.
“It flew from cloud to cloud as if was trying to hide. In the open between the clouds it would almost fade in with the stars above but as soon as the ship jumped near to the top of next cloud, it would fade back into view, it is possible that the chemical composition of the earth’s cloud may have an undesirable effect of the Super-ship’s ability to stay invisible (think sun hitting falling rain to make a rainbow).”
At 2:50 a.m., he spotted a second object.
“I finally find my camera. I turn my body back out to look southeast and I see a white/blue round probe/or a decoy (fig 2) with a little red blinking light on top of it. This UFO drop down from a huge cloud father south from where I saw the Super-ship last. This probe is hovering just below the cloud at about 20,000 feet and about 60 miles from me. It is blinking with an unrecognizable rhythm.”
At 2:55 a.m., he flashed a “1 million candle watt power floodlight” at the object and it disappeared.
At 2:56 a.m., a third object appears – and he has a video camera in place and shoots.
“Within a minute, and what I can describe as my first USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) encounter, a tall (maybe 100 feet in height) super bright white double cross (fig 2) USO, rises out of the ocean at about 25 miles due southeast of me in line with the far right oil tanker. This new structure is completely lit up. It stays right on top of the water and I start filming it (see attached film). At the beginning of the film, I try to get a reference by using the stationary oil tankers, and then pan the camera to the right to focus on this USO. Within a few minutes, the USO slowly sank out of sight.”
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man made. If Texas MUFON State Director Steve Hudgeons investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
TX, October 5, 2010 – Port Aransas, Texas has Super Ship, Probe, and USO. MUFON Case # 25735.
4 October – On a fishing trip with my younger brother, we drive to Port Aransas, Texas at 9PM Monday night from San Antonio, Texas. On the drive via Interstate 37 south, I did noticed a blue/white/red light up at about 30 degrees from the highway flying ahead of us at about 20,000 feet. Having just finished a previous UFO investigation the week prior, I took this light as an aircraft flying to Corpus Christi so I ignore it. After taking the Port Aransas car ferry about 12:30AM, 5 October, we park our SUV passed the end of the paved road of East Cotter Ave were it becomes the entrance to Nueces Country Park. We park our SUV tail end right next to southwest side of the waterway pass as marked on figure 1.
5 October – Approximately at 1:30AM we finish setting up camp and go to bed. One hour later I wake up for no apparent reason, I decide to step outside of the SUV to have a smoke. My brother has been sick so any noise or movement did not wake him. The gulf breeze was blowing to the northwest so I moved to the north side of the SUV near the front passenger seat. The sky was partly cloudy with the clouds moving also to the northwest from the southeast at a very slow rate.
2:30AM – At an angle up from the horizon about 60 degrees facing northeast, I see what looked like a fast (grey in color) shadow move just above the clouds over my left shoulders into another cloud. Thinking this was either a large bird or my tired eyes playing tricks, I ignore it.
2:45AM – After finishing my smoke, I make my way around to the passenger side of the SUV and I am now facing southwest parallel with the nose of the SUV. I happen to look up at three very large clouds and see once again this huge grey shadow move from the top of one cloud on my right to the next cloud to the left. I open the SUV’s driver door and start to reach for the camera under the seat. As I am reaching for the camera (I am totally blown away on seeing this) a massive Super-ship quickly moves from the middle cloud to the third cloud on the far left, see Figure 1. Wishing this would be just a peaceful fishing trip, I start memorizing eye-witness reporting attention-to-detail facts. I quickly raise my right hand and simulate the shape, color, direction, size, speed and duration of the UFO event. Using my outreach right hand (about 6 inch long at 20 inches away from my eyes) and estimating the lower end of moving clouds to be 20,000 to 25,000, I measure this Super-ship to be 7,500 feet long, 3,750 feet wide, and 1,250 in height. The overall shape (note, it move so fast I did not see the front very well) resembles a between an Archery 3 blade Broad Head Arrow Tip crossed with a Star War’s Imperial Battleship (see fig 2). At the very back of the ship looked like two very large dome (think tops of football field like the Metro Dome in Minneapolis). This machine looked extremely old. It flew from cloud to cloud as if was trying to hide. In the open between the clouds it would almost fade in with the stars above but as soon as the ship jumped near to the top of next cloud, it would fade back into view, it is possible that the chemical composition of the earth’s cloud may have an undesirable effect of the Super-ship’s ability to stay invisible (think sun hitting falling rain to make a rainbow). The second direction it moved was about a mile west, 85 degrees up of my location and jumped to the last large cloud at about 75 degrees southwest at a speed I estimate to be 5 times a CRJ-700’s 860km/h (535 miles per hour) or 2,600 miles per hour or I would estimate it jumped 45 miles in ¾ of a second.
2:50AM – With the interior light of the USV off and with the driver’s door open, I finally find my camera. It is blinking with an unrecognizable rhythm. Note: the following morning at 7AM I noted 5 to 6 Oil Tankers moored between me and the hovering probe, if a crew member was up between 2 and 3 AM working the oil transfer rig that is about 20 miles out from Port Aransas, they should have seen all of this.
2:55AM – Seeing the probe blinking and changing color from white to blue with a smaller un-rhythm red blinking light on the top of it, I turn on my 1 million candle watt power floodlight and flash three quick flashes to it as this pratice has been advised/tried by the local San Antonio, Texas MUFON members when they are trying to make contact in our local UFO hotspots. As soon as I flashed the last of the three flashes, the probe completely vanished from sight.
2:56AM – Within a minutes, and what I can describe as my first USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) encounter, a tall (maybe 100 feet in height) super bright white double cross (fig 2) USO, rises out of the ocean at about 25 miles due southeast of me in line with the far right oil tanker. This new structure is completely lid up. It stays right on top of the water and I start filming it (see attached film). At the beginning of the film, I try to get a reference by using the stationary oil tankers, and then pan the camera to the right to focus on this USO. Within a few minutes, the USO slowly sank out of sight.
Unknown if any other event happens that night. Unknown why this is would be my fourth night (in two months) seeing and reporting events. But it has to be reported.
One of Georgia’s most reliable UFO sightings occurred in Turnerville, a Habersham County community near Tallulah Falls, on June 29, 1964. Jimmy Ivester was visiting his mother, father, and siblings that night when the television they were watching developed so much interference that they turned it off. As Southerners are wont to do, they walked outside to sit on the porch and chat. There they spotted a UFO at treetop level. It moved to within 300 feet of the house and hovered across the highway, just a few feet over a neighbor’s garden. The bottom of the bowl-shaped craft was clearly visible, but the top of it was dark, broken only by three blinking lights in a row-red, clear, and red. When the lights disappeared, the UFO rose, shining from its bottom a green beam so bright it illuminated the woods.
The sight was unnerving enough, but worst of all was the smell the ship left behind, described as “something like embalming or brake fluid.”
Habersham County Sheriff A.J. Chapman was called after the sighting. He arrived from Clarkston just in time to see the UFO return. He viewed the object flying high overhead as it disappeared, and also experienced the terrible odor. Chapman vouched for the honesty of the witnesses.
The UFO had hovered above the property of Mrs. Russell Hickman, who watched the object with her sixteen-year-old daughter Diane. After the UFO departed, Mrs. Hickman complained of a stinging, burning pain on her arm and face. In the morning Diane’s face was red and drawn, her eyelids swollen nearly shut. Mrs. Hickman told Atlanta Constitution reporter Tom Winfield that she hesitated to take Diane to the doctor because she feared he would think they were crazy.
Another family in the same neighborhood had also observed the UFO, making a total of nine witnesses.
Confirmation of this sighting arrived with Beauford E. Parham, a businessman who was driving home late that evening near Lavonia when he noticed a very bright light in the sky that rapidly flew straight toward his car. Suddenly it had taken station directly in front of his headlights, giving him a clear view of the UFO. It was a spinning, top-shaped object, amber colored, six feet in height and eight feet in width, with what he described as a mast-like object protruding from the top. Through small portholes that ringed the bottom of the craft, “flames” could be seen. The “top” was tilted toward him, and the object issued a hissing sound “like a million snakes.”
The craft vanished, then immediately reappeared again five feet in front of him, where it remained for about a mile at 65 or 70 miles per hour. Parham followed it in what he called a “near trance-like state.” The UFO then flew over the car, emitting a powerful smell described as embalming fluid, and a gaseous vapor. The object reappeared for a third and final time in front of him and again approached the car. This time his motor began misfiring while the UFO spun “like crazy,” then the craft flew off to disappear in a “split second.”
Finally free of the harassing UFO, Parham realized that he had a burning sensation in his arms. He drove to the nearest airport and reported the encounter to the Federal Aviation Administration. Parham repeatedly washed his hands thoroughly, but the burning sensation continued. Despite repeated washings, a mysterious oily film remained on the car’s exterior, and the hood had been warped by the incident. Rubber hoses in the engine compartment also deteriorated rapidly. Traces of radioactivity were also detected on the vehicle.
This was Georgia’s first “physical trace” UFO. It affected three humans and various components of a car, and was witnessed by at least ten individuals, one of them a respected law officer, in three separate locations.
Less than a week after interviewing the UFO watchers in Habersham County, newsman Tom Winfield was called at eleven one night and asked to drive to a hotel in Gainesville, in Hall County, where a UFO was being observed. Pulling into the parking lot of the Gainesville Hotel, employee Whit Embry shouted, “Hurry up! It’s coming back!”
Winfield followed Embry’s outstretched arm and looked to the southeast.
“It was about 500 feet up and moving in a slow arch,” Winfield wrote. “It stopped, hovered for a few brief moments and began to move off in the direction from which it came. Suddenly, it shot up and into the cloudless sky and out of sight.”
The UFO “was bowl-shaped and resembled a top,” he continued, “and appeared to be misty orange in color and seemed to either glow or reflect the light from the ground below.” The object was an estimated three quarters of a mile distant.
WASHINGTON. — The status of the flying saucer following radar sightings over Washington and a Pentagon “saucer” conference this week is just where it was previously — all up in the air.
Comments of high-ranking Air Force intelligence and “saucer project” officers are on the intangible side, as befits talk about phenomena on which the Air Force says no scientifically useful observations have been made.
In an effort to settle one rumor which declares that the “limitless” power which would be required for saucer propulsion could be obtained from a nuclear power plant generating electricity, The TIMES stated the theory to Maj. Gen. John A. Samford, Air Force director of intelligence.
“That’s a pretty strong idea, but wait until it gets a little further along,” he replied. Quizzed as to his meaning, he said that the idea is “mentally implausible.”
Washington has had a flurry of sightings of unidentified objects. Around midnight on July 19 the Air Route Traffic Control Center (CAA) at Washington National Airport sighted from seven to 10 unidentified aerial objects. The radar operators said that eight were picked up in the vicinity of Andrews AFB, Md., moving at from 100 to 120 mph.
The control center notified the Air Force and also asked planes in the air if they could see anything.
Capt. S.C. Pierman, piloting Capital Airlines Flight 807, southbound from National Airport, soon reported seeing seven objects between Washington and Martinsburg, W. Va. He said they changed pace, sometimes moving at tremendous speed, at other times hanging almost motionless. He described them as “like falling stars without tails”, and added:
“In all my years of flying I’ve seen a lot of falling or shooting stars, but these were much faster. They couldn’t have been aircraft. They were moving too fast for that. They were about the same size as the brighter stars, and were much higher than our 6000 ft altitude.”
Another airliner, Capital National airlines flight 610, also reported seeing a light and following it from Herndon, Va., to within four miles of Washington.
The Air Force did not send up interceptor planes that night because its own radar had not picked up the images and because the round-the-clock observer operation had not sent out warnings, officers said.
The night of July 26 at 9:08 unidentified objects were picked up by radar at National Airport. At various times four to 12 in number, the objects were seen on the radar screen until 3 a.m. Radar at Andrews AFB showed the objects from around 8:30 until midnight, and located them at approximately seven miles south of the base.
At 11:25 p.m., two F-94s from the Air Defense Command at New Castle AFB, Del., took off to investigate. One of the F-94 pilots saw four lights near Andrews, but he could not overtake them and they disappeared in two or three minutes. He also saw a steady white light 10 miles east of Mount Vernon but it faded quickly.
At 1:40 a.m., two more F-94s took off and patrolled the area until 2:20 a.m., but they saw nothing suspicious.
PA, June 4, 2010 – BLACK METAL OBJECT WITH POINTS TO IT AND FLAMES SHOOTING OUT FROM IT. MUFON Case # 23653.
On Friday the 4th around the time of 8:00 or 8:30 my husband and I was in the backyard watering our plants. While my husband was putting away the water hose I happen to look up to the sky and notice this black metal object in the sky.
This thing had fire shooting out and around it. It glided in a horizontal pattern. I told my husband to look at this thing and tell me what he thinks it is. He of course, didn’t know what to think.
It wasn’t too far away that you couldn’t tell what you were looking at and it didn’t make any noise.
This thing didn’t have any wings to it. I had mentioned to my husband that maybe it was space debris falling down. He then said that this thing was moveing in a way that didn’t look like something falling. It just glided.
We felt a little creeped out by this thing. I also noticed it had some sharp points on it. I tried to contact via e-mail our local newspaper to see if they had anyone else reporting this and they never got back to me. I’ve been watching and reading the newspaper and nothing was reported. I would like to know if anyone else saw what we saw.
I’m officially admitting it…I’m becoming infatuated with a story (this story is now more than 1-2 years old now) that at first I dismissed it as nothing more than a series of really good fakes concocted to get somebody a lot of attention. Yes, there have been one or two fakes of this “Drone” story. If WordPress will allow me, I’ll post two pics of the drone that had garnered the most attention. If, and only if these are truly alien drones or perhaps interdimensional type drones, what are their true purposes here? Are we as a species being observed and scrutinized to see if we are worthy of direct contact? Or maybe are these drones studying us or the environment simply because that whoever is on the observing end are preparing for invasion, or just perhaps integration into our society?
More pictures and or information of these drones can be found at:
As always, study the claims and use good old fashioned detective work…study, observe, gain facts etc., and draw your own conclusions. Here’s the highlights of this fascinating story below…
June 29, 2007 Montgomery, Alabama – This week on Tuesday, June 26th, the mystery of the dragonfly-shaped aerial drones took another turn with the release of an alleged secret report containing photographs of alleged extraterrestrial technologies, entitled “Commercial Applications Research for Extraterrestrial Technology (CARET), the Q4-86 Research Report”, dated December 1986, Palo Alto, California, by the Palo Alto CARET Laboratory, also known as PACL (pronounced ‘packel’). The CARET Laboratory’s research goal is stated as, achieving a greater understanding of extraterrestrial technology within the context of commercial applications and civilian use.
